Delivering emails to your audience

Connect with your audience and keep them informed when you publish new content on your Video To Blog publication with built-in email newsletters.

1. Create a new post

Create a new post just like you would normally (either from a video or from scratch). See here for more info on creating posts.

2. Preview

You can preview how your post will look as an email as well on on your publication website.

Video To Blog uses a clean, optimized HTML email template and renders your content beautifully in all popular email clients.

To preview your post you can click on the Preview button to the top right of the post side bar or you click the Preview button to the top right of the Publish dialog.

This will bring up the Preview dialog where you can see what your post will look like on web and email, desktop and mobile before you Publish.

If you'd like to see how your email newsletter will look in an inbox prior to sending it to your subscribers, send a test email to yourself from the preview area.

By default, Video To Blog will use the post title as the subject line of your email newsletters.

3. Send your email

When you click Publish, you’ll be guided through all of the publishing options. The first step is to decide how you’d like to publish you content from one of the following options:

  • Publish and email — ideal for publishing new posts and sending directly to subscribers at the same time.

  • Publish only — for when you don't need to send a newsletter but would like to publish new content.

  • Email only — deliver a newsletter without publishing, great for sending a roundup of the latest content or to promote a special offer to free members.

Next, use the publishing menu to decide which newsletter (if you have multiple) that your post will be delivered to:

Finally, when you’re ready, click the Publish button to send your post to your subscribers.

Emails sent from your Video To Blog publication include an unsubscribe link by default, so your subscribers can decide if they'd like to receive future emails from you.

Newsletter analytics

Once content has been delivered to your members as a newsletter, you'll have access to post analytics, and plenty of insights to find out how your content is performing.

To view the analytics for any post click the analytics item next to the blog post as shown below.
